    Collage done for the artist's first collegiate art class, 2-D Design. The only instruction given was that it had to be about a personal place. Using color and line to evoke a feeling of sunset fading into night, a sense of place is found that transcends location and instead describes a time of day. Collage with printed images, 32x40, 2004.

    Traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs, decorated using a batik method. Beeswax is applied and the egg is dyed in stages, then the wax is removed, revealing the beautiful colors underneath. 2004.
